       Top Five Issues

         1. Abortion

Good luck banning it, Values Voters, or prepare to ban wire hangars and a number of household products, including nutmeg.

          2. Government spending

You'll be prosecuting a lot more women who have miscarriages just like in the old days, so you'll need more of it.

          3. Repeal of Obamacare

I'd only get rid of the 1099 requirement, otherwise no, you can't have it.

          4. Protection of religious liberty'

That better include all religions, including Muslims and Satanists. Otherwise, you're just a bunch of whiny bizatches.

          5. National Security

So you're pro government spending? We spend almost a trillion on defense every year.

    •  a slight correction . . . (5+ / 0-)

We spend almost a trillion on defense every year

We spend almost NOTHING on "defense" every year.  We have no one we need to "defend" against. We have the most powerful military force ever to have existed in the entire 200,000-year history of the human species, spend more on war than the entire rest of the world put together, and have troops and military bases in over half the countries in the world---to "defend" against . . . nobody.

There is no power anywhere on this planet that is a realistic threat to our society.  None.  Not a one.  Zip.  Zero.  Zilch.

CERTAINLY not twenty guys with boxcutters.

It is not "defense" that our militaristic society is focused on.

      •  Well, it's all in a name. (0+ / 0-)

It's no accident that when the Military-industrial complex completely took over, they changed the name of the War Department to the Department of Defense, and then started one unnecessary war of aggression after another.

In college I majored in politics and played with computers. Now I work with computers and make politics a hobby.
