    and I'm not saying that Christine O'Donnell is not ridiculous.  I think I more or less indicated that I believe she said it for effect, not because it was necessarily true, although it may have been. Who knows?  

    What I find disturbing is how willing a lot of folks are to make witchcraft the punchline rather than O'Donnell herself.  And some of those same folks have been stalwarts in their defense of, for example, the Community Center in New York.  And outraged at the proposed Qu'ran burning that was planned in Gainesville, FL.  

    Yet it's somehow OK to treat a much less known religious or faith tradition with a lower level of respect.  It's not quite to the level of the Republican Extremists at their rallies howling about the president being a Muslim as if that's a bad thing.  But it's the same sort of predjudice, it seems to me.  Just at a lower decible level.  

    I imagine it must hurt, and hurt people who have absolutely no connection with Christine O'Donnell.

    The Republican Extremist Agenda favors tax cuts for millionaires and benefit cuts for Social Security and Medicare.
