Everyone keeps posting that link for me.

Here's what I get for my ZIP code.

Five clinics within my area. Two are pediatrics only. Two are geriatrics only. One is the sliding scale one. They will not take me for free. Apparently there are limits to the slide.

I have no money. I've been out of work since January 2007, and live completely on the charity of my kids. They barely make more than minimum wage. They cannot afford to pay for my health care. I do not qualify for any government assistance programs except food stamps, which are not taken in trade for medical care.

Unless it is zero, no cost is "minimal."

I continue to complain about this because I know that I am not the only one in this position. But they may not have a platform like this one at which to air my complaint.

Rep. Slaughter asked for comments. This is what you get when you open the floor to all. Some are not pleased. I am among them.

and I like hearing about people who disagree but lets not forget that there are many times more that are covered. Also with new funding more of them will be built. This bill is not perfect and I will not lie to say it is. But you do have to agree that 32 million people isn't exactly a pebble in an  ocean. I am positive something will pop for you. Don't you worry. Oh and by the way, the CHC's around where I live and in the surrounding area, most offer free healthcare for those unemployed thanks to constant donations and grants and whatnot. Lets hope this continues.

You mentioned "free clinics".  I talked about Community Health Centers.  I would have no way of knowing you meant the Community Health Center.

I also would have no way of knowing that you've already checked, which is why I provided the link in case you hadn't seen it yet.

No problem.  Next time, I'll know better.
