us to feel we have done something positive when we are feeling helpless.  It is good to do something in such a situation.  And it matters.

For so many (and I include all the contributors).

Among the spiritually minded, that would make you a nexxus, or a focal point for the channeling of love or spiritual energy made manifest in your physical action in making the quilt.

I'm not especially spiritual--but I believe in the manifestation of the goodwill of humankind. If it suits you and what you believe, make sure you pause when you are going through the process of each quilt and imagine all the people who are manifesting that quilt with you. Breathe slowly and deeply. Feel the love, healing and good wishes flowing from everyone who is contributing towards the recipient. But recognize that all of that love, healing, and goodwill is flowing THROUGH you as you do it. Receive the love and appreciation directed towards you as you add your own to the quilt. Feel the blessing as you become the blessing.

Thank you for the great goodness you do.
