    wild horses have no place in the US, ecologically speaking, majestic or not.  Apparently you don't understand the ecology of invasive animals in that simply by being there they are competing with every other native animal to that area for resources.  I have nothing against horses but I don't think that taxpayer money ought to be used to protect them in the wild.
    Nutria are a large rhodent set loose in the bayous of Louisiana and are driving native mammalian species out.  Chinese privet is commonly used as an ornamental bush but has escaped into the wild and is rapidly crowding out native vegetation in the Southeast.
