Dudley struggled to explain what he meant without saying that he actually did want to lower the minimum wage, and in the process told the people of Oregon that they just don't get it.

I know none of us are surprised by these statements from Dudley. He's afraid to come out and say what he's for -- reducing the minimum wage so the rich can have more money to spend -- because he realized it would be putting his other foot in his mouth (and there's only so much room).

The filty rich will never understand the plight of their fellow human being. They won't because they don't care to. They've got theirs. Some of them, perhaps, even earned it. So they figure everyone else has a straight up-and-down opportunity, just like they did.

Well, they're seriously wrong. These are the same people who demean the homeless and the poor, who ridicule anyone's idea that there's a need for health care, and demand tax cuts for themselves so they can build higher walls to keep the riff-raff out of their sight.

This is what the teabaggers should be fighting against -- instead of those who want to help lift everyone out of the deadly grip of poverty and disease. This minimum wage argument is as false as the "pork" argument John McCain tried to wage during the 2008 campaign.

Instead of focusing on the real problems of our economy -- corporate welfare, excessive tax cuts for the rich and an out-of-control defense budget -- they throw up these false arguments that they are somehow concerned about the budget deficit. They only pretend they are because it's what their constituents want to hear. They've got theirs -- and they don't give a flyin' frick about anyone but themselves.

    Barack Obama is my president!
