that zomg-look-how-itty-bitty-countries-do-it! people never seem to want to answer:

    1. Does whatever the itty-bitty country does scale to US sizes (proof, please)?
    1. Does the itty-bitty country have a US standard of living?

Personally I'll be interested in seeing how China's multi-brazillion dollar investment in green stuff goes. I always said the US was missing a ginormous economic opportunity by being the FIRST to develop adequate green energy technology for large-scale use.

(shrug) They never listen to me.

On average, you and I and Bill Gates make a lot of money and have enormous assets but the statistic may be a mite misleading.

While we have a very wealthy country, the disparities between the classes has been increasing for a long time. We have obviously been doing a great deal to dissipate our wealth.

Though our country is large in population and land area, we are not the largest.

Personally I know of no reason that we can't go green and benefit enormously by doing so.

      Do you?

      Best,  Terry

the Chines government's ability to plan long term has allowed them to corner the market on rare elements needed for the coming tech-revolution.
