    We don't drink as much milk since the kids moved out.
    I thought that is why it spoiled faster.

    A couple of years ago a friend to me to try organic milk because it didn't spoil as quickly.I didn't know why Kroger's milk spoiled sometimes even before the expiration date.Know I know.

      in collection of milk. That is when the teats are not cleaned and disinfected before the milking machine is attached or if manually obtained the hands were not washed before and after each cow. And there is inevitably some direct fecal contamination as well. Milk is a natural biological product and unless it is ultra-Pasteurized (which may change the taste) it will always contain some level of bacteria.
