  •  When LGBT Person Attempts Suicide They Mean It (5+ / 0-)

Just to make sure this is understood, there is a huge difference between LGBT people, youth and adults, attempting suicide and the general population, youth and adults.

When LGBT people attempt suicide they mean it, it is not for attention.  The statistics are kept with a couple of numbers, attempt and success. Success means having actually killed themselves. LGBT people have a high success rate compared to the general public. IIRC it is like less than 12% v. 40%. That is just one number, there are others which point out the same spread.

Hell they already had the attention and that is why they are killing themselves!

Is bullying controllable?  I have seen many people come up with it is not so we don't need to bother with controlling it. Or it is part of growing up.  Bull to both answers. It does not have to be part of growing up.  Parents and those in adult rolls such as teachers and district attorneys need to put the kabash on that lie.  The bullying can be stopped by removing the bully if needed.

    •  sure am glad you're able to see into the hearts (0+ / 0-)

of all those other people who you just know didn't mean it.

What arrogance people have to 'know' such things simply boggles the rational mind.

Yeah, 30,000 people committed suicide last year, but the LGBT crowd...they are the only ones who really mean it.

I ever wonder if you could possibly grasp that to the right mind your words might be taken literally as

      "oh, yeah? Watch this..."

But I imagine you'll drop back and punt to say that anyone else was simply depressed and should have gotten "help" -

like there could not possibly be any bullying, or simply just "fuck you I don't care about your problems so stop whining and get on with it and quit bluffing" - that happens to people without any reference to their sexual behavior.

      Removing the bully -

Yeah, that'll work. You read some of the comments on this site? Want me to find some for you that dont' have a damn thing to do with anyone's sex life but are not legally, morally, or humanly any different than "Jump already, or shut the fuck up!"

Really? Only the sexually burdened are serious.

      That's just

I don't know what the fuck that is beyond blind and inhuman.

Sometimes they don't stop the bully; they call out the one who's talking suicide and throw him out.

It's all in the perspective, and perspective is always owned and controlled by the one with the brain who judges it all.

Please don't suggest you know who is serious or not; for that may be just the trigger that will inspire them to make up their mind just to prove you were wrong.

George Orwell is banging on the lid of his coffin and screaming, "1984 was a cautionary tale, you dolts, not a motivational speech!"
