  •  I've said it before - they are ALL afraid to have (9+ / 0-)

a discussion, on any topic, with Rachel because she is smarter than the lot of them combined.

In fact, she'd make a great addition to the Obama admin since she is such a policy wonk. CoS? OK by me!

Or give her MTP and Gregory can spend his Sunday mornings at the Lizard Cheney abode for breakfast.

Personally, I'd love to see her go state to state and debate a conservative on issues specific to each state on local TV. Not as a candidate, but as an honest, intelligent, American using actual facts rather then talking points. She'd wipe the floor with any opponant on every issue.

People all over the country would probably write in her name on electon day to represent them in Congress.

to go on her show.  They just need courage and conviction to say what they truly believe and not be afraid of the consequences.  Thats all.

If you believe social security should be privatized...just say it and explain why you believe that...or that civil rights need to be overturned...or that rape/incest victims should bew forced to have the rapist baby.

Ron Paul goes on liberal shows and never has a problem even though he has some extreme views.

      •  My point was that Rachel actually takes the time (5+ / 0-)

to research issue details while most politicians that appear on TV spout talking points because they don't know the details of the issues. They are not policy wonks, they are politicians.

Look what happened to Rand Paul when he decided to try to bring his open political beliefs to the masses on her show. She questioned everything, pushed back to make him support his beliefs, but he couldn't without looking like a bigot. And he knew what was happening while it was happening. Watch him choose his words carefully - he knew his bigotry would change the msm meme the next day from "Paul wins repub primary" to "Rand Paul doesn't believe in civil rights for all". And that's exactly what happened.

Afterwards, he went into hiding (like Palin,Angle,O'Donnell) for a while until the handlers were able to clean up their amature websites, put them on FoxSpews, and get some $ from the anonymous corporate donor system.

No, they are afraid of Rachel because she is a policy wonk who researches and understands details of the issues that they do not. And that makes her smarter than the lot of them combined. IMHO.

wasted for what passes for a "journalist" today.

She'd be incredible as Obama's press secretary. I'd love to see a "West Wing" episode with someone like her in that job. She would definitely be able to keep the loons in line better than Gibbs.

          •  Press sec would be a waste of her brilliant (0+ / 0-)

talents. She needs a policy job. She's a Toby or a Josh. Or CoS. Or our first openly gay President!

She can do so much more good with the position she has, and I hope she realizes that, in case the Admin tries to hire her. Because they would only have one goal - to shut her down when it comes to criticizing their policies.

She'd be totally de-fanged on the inside.

She knows that her strength is her independence and her ability to criticize whatever she believes is wrong.
