    because of concerns that they could "fall into the wrong hands", which is utter bullshit.  The CMP has been around for decades and runs it's customers through the same background checks as any other dealer of firearms.

    So far no media outlet that I'm aware of has been able to get anybody in a position of authority to comment on the issue.  The cynic in me thinks it's a bone for the administration to throw at the anti-RKBA crowd -- they've had a rough two years after all -- but I'd love to be proven wrong on this point.

    Congress will act if the Administration doesn't.  Some pro-RKBA member will attach an amendment to an unrelated bill, the GOP + pro-RKBA Democrats will see that it passes and Obama will sign it rather than waste his political capital opposing it.

    It's just stupid that we should have to go through that.  Particularly when the import of these weapons was originally approved back in 2009 before the State Department changed it's mind a few months ago.
