    I will admit. But I am a huge fan of Alton Brown. I must have like 30 hours of his Food Network show on my DVR. I have to admit his personality and skits in the show piss me off. But he does take basic science to cooking. He explains why when you add this or that and apply temperature X happens and here is why.

      All of the best cooking is based on the science.  Ever wonder how people found those facts?  Trial and error followed by a real scientist in a laboratory is my guess.  Analyzing the process and discovering the process then giving the information to the public.  Will the wonders of science never end!?
