  •  A lovely watercolor, Lineatus. (5+ / 0-)

And a very nice diary, too. Now that I have moved to osprey country, I find I'm missing the resident RTHs in Sonoma County. I used to agonize for them when the neighbors took down their favorite nesting eucalyptus trees, even though I knew the trees must be cut and would grow back. Driving Petaluma Rd. through the countryside nearly always found them hunting from power poles along the road in the damp winter time. I know they are here in Humboldt County, maybe even in my Eureka neighborhood, but I haven't heard them or seen them yet. The season is near now, though, for just driving along some country roads and watching the power poles.

    Have a great banding day!
