no one used the n word or anything like it. go complain to burston for naming his column 'a special place in hell'.  seriously, relax. it was a joke on the title. i don't hear anyone chastizing burston for the name of his column, do you? why not? because hell is universal as is satan, everyone relates to it. are you going to call burston anti semitic for suggesting 'israel is hell'? (for what else does that title mean??? or being a leftist is hell? of course not. don't take everything so personally. really.

and I'm not sure why you care.  It would seem "my opinion" bothers you.  In this case, my opinion, being the facts.

What I should've said was this, you are yet another person who thinks people, like myself, shouldn't get to interpret their own reality.

The above referred to a Tim Wise quote I posted the other day.

And since someone informing another poster of "Jew-specific reality" seems to bother you, I'll make an effort to do so more often.

      Have a lovely weekend.   Bye.

i hope your weekend is nice to. regarding my point, your fact, and my questions you didn't address, perhaps i am mistaken but doesn't everyone interpret their own reality?

this brings to mind a famous book garnering much controversy titled the satanic verses. had the joke been 'a special place in hell: leftists who love iran' (written during the election demonstrations/twitter/death of neda for example) given this history w/the satanic verses book do you think people should be similarly sensitive?

given the fact of this history you are referencing don't you think burston should take that into account also? why do you think he ignored it if it is so prevalent given the fact his columns are almost always about israel, jews and politics, isn't referencing 'jewish state' and 'hell' offensive to you or too close for comfort? i've always thought the name of his column was somewhat provocative.

come to think if it, referencing the holy land as hell could be seen as offensive specifically to people of all three faiths, couldn't it? maybe burston is being offensive.

      •  ps, contrary to your assertions (0+ / 0-)

i have not referenced "Jew-specific reality" i referenced history, specifically history you had referenced at the parent here as "Jews Satanic".

yet another person who thinks people, like myself, shouldn't get to interpret their own reality.

actually i think you have every right to interpret your own reality. i wasn't referencing your interpretation so much as i was referencing all your instructions about what others should do wrt their own reality.

        ciao.
