to educate yourself very well on this man's situation before feeding him to the wolves, have you?  On each of his Olbermann appearances, Cranick has mentioned ongoing dialogue with his insurance company.

Even with Olbermann, I don't miss it.

The insurance company might not want more bad (liberal) press, but I'd be surprised if lapsed fire coverage didn't void it.

if you're going to write a diary like this, blaming somebody for what happened, don't you think you have some obligation to study up on what the facts are?  Just like he had an obligation to pay the $75 bucks, but less onerous?

Sheesh.  (And "I don't have a television" isn't much of an excuse -- there's the internet, you know).

All I know is that my auto insurance doesn't pay for theft if I leave the keys in the ignition with the engine running. I doubt if his insurance agency will dare void his policy, but I expect that it includes a requirement for fire coverage; that would be standard.

Did you know in urban areas some insurance companies rate by distance to the nearest fire house? They know what is up here.

Do you believe that people who don't have health insurance should not be attended to by paramedics or admitted to hospitals?

            •  No. (0+ / 0-)

First, I support single payer health care paid for by taxes. Second, I think there are people who can not afford health insurance in our current structure, while I do not believe someone can or should buy a house that he can not insure. Third, there is a law requiring such treatment, which is then sort-of reimbursed in a clumsy and unfair way by all of us, which is one reason to support single-payer. There is no such law requiring fire departments to save houses of non-subscribers, and if there were, unlike the health situation (where only emergency care is covered, one reason the existing system is inferior), nobody would rationally pay for the fire insurance, since a fire is an emergency ipso facto.

Do you believe in requiring automobile owners to buy liability insurance?
