  •  then why are you laughing? (4+ / 0-)

do you usually laugh at people who unknowingly make an ass of themselves?

my mother in law lost her sight because of diabetes.  i am not some asshole who doesn't care for people.  i am personally offended on behalf of my mother in law, who waits for the hope of seeing again in her lifetime, at someone saying they would rather go without the ability to hear unless they get volume control too.  as if curing deafness is like baking a cake and if they don't get the frosting they prefer then they don't want a piece.  it's obscene sounding to me.

One thing you gotta give rich people credit for. They might have nearly all the money but they are really stingy about spending it, so, nobody benefits.

that sounded like i'm mad at slinkerwink.  i'm not.  if she's happy with having volume control then i'm happy for her.  her choice took me by surprise but after thinking more about it i guess to each him/her own.

Diabetes runs in my family, too.

I wish I could turn aspects of what disables me off and on when convenient for me. But sadly, that's not the way it works.

You sound like a very loving son/daughter-in-law. My best to your family.

      xoxo,
      ear

Ho'oponopono. To make things right; restore harmony; heal.
