It's the DNC Chair that's not the bully pulpit she enjoys now.

She's young and smart and I'd hate to see her either doing the same old shtick 5 years from now or somehow being blocked out of making a move because her shtick is starting to stick (wow that was lame, no?)

But seriously, why does the other side get pathetic creeps like Angle and ODonnell and the progressive side can't give Maddow a shot?

...............over MSNBC we may find Rachel looking for another radio gig, or going to CNN, or who knows.

The Chairmanship of the DNC is an important task, when it comes to finding and getting people elected to our Federal offices.

We were literally lucky when our own involvement had a positive effect of helping Howard Dean get into that office. Most of the time it is party leadership in DC and NY that holds the most powerful sway in who inherits the chairmanship. And since the DLC has been in effect they muscle in a pro-corporate mediocre moderate who makes sure progressives/liberals hardly get a chance.

This being the 1st election since the SCOTUS upended the type of legal donations allowed in elections: it is vital to have a strong showing in these next elections. If we become utterly powerless in the next Congress, it will become virtually impossible to regain enough strength to overturn and make legislation that brings back democracy to this country.

Corporate donations to elections is not free speech, it is legalized bribery.

      •  I understand that she (0+ / 0-)

doesn't want to go into public office.  I believe she can continue to be effective in the position she's in now.

I feel she has done much in energizing the Dems for this coming mid-term election, and we need her honest, intelligent, no-nonsense voice in exposing all the chicanery, lies and distortions rampant in radical politics.
