    .... the wheels of justice don't turn full circle, or when law enforcement makes a serious mistake.  I can't defend any of that, much less the kind of thing that went on with Scooter compared to Cheney, much less the lack of prosecution of Ed Meese for treating with the enemy (Iran) during the Hostage Crisis in order to get Reagan elected.  

    But occasionally there is something to celebrate bigtime, and for me today is one of those because it would appear that some of the additional players in the Tiller assassination may end up sitting at a Defense table clad in orange jumpsuits.  

    When a case is really important to prosecutors, they will see to it that no stone is left unturned in terms of dotting all the I's and crossing all the T's.  One key to that is when you read the magic words "got a warrant" for a wiretap or a search, rather than using recent stuff such as the Patriot Act as a rationale for not needing to do so.  And every time law enforcement does the proper steps like that, also helps reinforce the standard that those steps are necessary in order to secure a case that can be prosecuted successfully.
