    I would agree that there is probably a direct connection between the low socioeconomic status of the people and results in education. Thank you for helping me make my point. When the politics of an area prevent people from organizing and fighting for their right to negotiate for a better deal for themselves, their neighbors and their children, hard working people suffer and a few businessmen walk away with the fruits of a communities labor. The South's poor socioeconomic status is certainly directly related to workers inability to form strong labor unions.
