Been thinking of writing a diary but too lzy

    1. This is not 1994

Newt had a polished plan that was stumped and bought line and sinker by Reagan Dems, Conservatives, and Disinterested voters who liked the message.  This 'Pledge' is weak sauce and even the right wingers are dismayed calling it empty.  It might even dampen interest.

    1. Democrats have huge cash advantages

In some races, Dems are knocking their opponent around with their wallet and purses and keeping the race close or slightly ahead.

    1. OFA is on the ground

Check out the OFA volunteer event map and there is an office in many swing districts.  Some places have 2 or even 3 offices with volunteers contacting Obama's base from '08 to do it once again.  I get texts, letters, and emails constantly.  The GOP? Has no cash and no turnout operation.  This can shift 2-3 points on election day.

    1. Teabagger candidates

    Enough said.

Overall, I'm not in the doom category and hiding under my bed just yet.

When we got into office, the thing that surprised me most was to find that things were just as bad as we'd been saying they were. -JFK
