  •  People are effing stupid and something (11+ / 0-)

    is wrong with their wiring.

I have an in-law who has lived next door to a family who has bothered her for many years.  The neighbor has too many loud parties, their hot tub motor is too loud, the neighbor ended up getting divorced and the ex-wife dated too many people, she drank too much and cursed too much.  The kids were neglected (yet my in-law failed to called family services -- but I did) My in-law registered complaints with the police because the neighbor was too loud and disruptive.  You name it, my in-law complained about it.

    The neighbors were heterosexual.

You probably guessed where I'm going with this, but the neighbors across the street are two gay men.  These men have caused not one problem in the many years they've lived on the block.  No loud parties.  No loud hot tubs.  No loud cursing.  No loud cars starting at 3 a.m.  Nothing.  Nada.  AND they have the nerve to keep their property looking beautiful.

Guess who doesn't appreciate, not for a minute, the neighbors across the street... you know, teh gays.

My in-law is either stupid or has a mental problem.  I believe it's both.  No amount of words, debate, discussion, arguments will ever change her mind.  She hates the next door neighbor and all the problems they/she has caused, but doesn't appreciate and hates even more teh gays who live across the street who have never, not once, never caused her any problems, whatsoever.  I can't understand.  I don't think I ever will.

The saving grace part is that my in-law is up in the years, and I have high hopes for the younger generations.

Enough already. Stand up and fight. If you lose, you lose, but at least you tried. That's all I ask.

Literally, my bedroom window is 6 yards from the roadbed.

One day, I was looking out, and happened to see a well-muscled man in his car, stopped at a red light. He was literally boxing his female passenger in the face.

You see sicko shit like this, and, by comparison, homophobia does seem irrational.

will vote for the likes of Sharron Angle and Joe Miller and Christine O'Donnell.

They'll accept destitution, slavery and hostility from people who they see as like themselves rather than accept prosperity, freedom and support in the company of people that they don't.

They'd rather die that endure "one of them" doing well. They'd certainly rather kill. And they'll easy give what little they have to feel superior - and that's why they're coming out and voting for Tea Wee crazy people and their even crazier agenda in droves:

They hate us so much that they would rather do without every good thing we offer them than have to say the least little thank-you.

The crazy is not a problem for them. Our not being "like them" is. And these days that means a lot more than skin tone and geographic origin of ancestors.

They're nuts. They know they're nuts. They desperately want to stop feeling out of control - and the solution they've homed in on is to get rid of us...starting with our presence in political power.

But I don't think they plan on stopping there... because that kind of crazy never stops until it's stopped.
