  •  Important: 10/12 Bullseye Update (6+ / 0-)

Well, that was worth the wait:
DD2 ROV1's 10/12 mourning tour of the riser and BOP included a very clear view of the wellhead bullseye.  The bubble was located SSE @ about 2 degrees, exactly where it was in my 9/23, 10/2 and 10/5 screenshots.

At this point I am inclined to take the 10/9 screenshot, taken as it was at a very sharp angle, as an unreliable visual anomaly.  I can't imagine it would be plausible for the reading to swing from its 10/5 position almost 4 degrees to that indicated in the 10/9 shot only to return back  that very same 4 degrees to its 10/5 position in this morning's 10/12 screenshot.

However, between June 10 and today there HAS been a significant change (NNW at the extreme edge of the scale to SSE at 2 degrees: a change of >4.5 degrees), but over the past 2-3 weeks at least it now appears that it has, in fact, been quite stable.

No recent movement. No recent cause for alarm.
