  •  Sorry. AK MSM sucks! (1+ / 0-)

The ADN is totally in the bag for Palin and all her cronies.  After that, they would tilt toward Murky.  Dem, what Dem?  Others, like the Alaska Dispatch and the Frontiersman are much smaller, niche sort of publications.  The Dispatch has done a stellar job, but I wouldn't consider them mainstream.  I think the Frontiersman is a Valley pub, which would also lean right.  Even the Juneau paper endorsed Murky and the south east is notoriously more blue than the rest of the state.

    •  The Juneau paper is not locally owned (2+ / 0-)

The Juneau Vampire belongs to Morris Communications, which is owned by William Morris III of Augusta, Georgia, renowned for supporting right wing politics in the Augusta area.

The Vampire frequently takes editorial stands which reflect extreme right wing views in a community that some Anchorage Repuke legislators have called "the People's Republic of Juneau".

An endorsement by the Vampire does not carry much weight with Juneau voters.

        And comment on them online.

Helps a lot when the ownership is still catching up with the citizens.
