Otherwise, I hope you can sleep at night, come November 3, 2010!

Even though we have early mail in voting, some folks like to vote in person on November 2.  In addition to to the driving and some calling etc. I'm making six dozen cookies, a huge bowl of potato salad and taking meats and cheeses for sandwiches so our good workers can stay fed.  I will sleep for a week come November 3.  I've been GOTV for what seems like forever and I am pooped!

by the apathy that reins in our county among the Democrats.  It's unbelievable.

        •  Where do you live? We have been so motivated (0+ / 0-)

here for months and we are all out for the next two days.  A lot of people have already voted in early voting but we will keep up the work for those who plan to go or haven't thought about going to the polls on Tuesday.

No apathy here.  What are you doing?  GOTV!

          •  I personally am working as hard as I can (0+ / 0-)

but for some reason people think someone else should do the work! I've been working on campaigns and GOTV since 2000.  But I'm a rare one, although we have others.
They're afraid to call or walk.  We live in a rural, very conservative Republican area.  Maybe they are demoralized.  They do vote, however, but it's hard to get them to commit to anything more.
It's frustrating, though, when no one will talk to you because they are SICK of the robocalls.  I've deleted at least 6 from my home phone today, and got one that was a fast-talking, garbled mess in a real call, told them, I've already voted.  My neighbor claims he'll vote for the other guy from the robocaller.
