And the polling shows Blue Dogs will take a hit.

    Why?

Largely because they played an equal part in the obstructionism that was preventing Democrats from trying to pass an agenda they promised We The People.

In other words: the Blue Dogs played a rather large role in becoming part of the problem, resulting in somewhat odious policy proposals that were watered-down to the point of being far less effective.

Those who demanded and wanted more (which you'll note is a majority in polling) legislation to go further will not miss Blue Dogs one bit... as their removal will (while leading to fewer seats) likely lead to a more cohesive Dem voting bloc that doesn't need significant numbers of various factions being placated with watered-down giveaways.

And the larger CPC, more representative of true policy principles of the Democratic Party, will be all the stronger for it.

If you're looking to a solution, looking to obstructionist Blue Dogs and their Republican counterparts would be the definition of true "idiotism".

Your beloved "progressives" will take hit as well. Lesser one, because they represent MUCH more reliable districts, and it's really diffiult to lose, say Oakland-Berkeley district  (CA-09): even clinical idiot with "D" letter after his name will win it.

Your CPC will be confined to role of  loudspeaker of minority in House and, because Republicans will be in control - you will not pass any serious legislation next 2 years - good or moderately bad, none at all. So - be cohesive permanent minority, if that's what ypu want.

And your polls are polls of people visiting this site - they have nothing in common with wishes of REAL majority, that will come to voting booth Nov 2nd. After that you, most likely, will be confined to your "liberal gettoes"

That last sentence is downright ugly.

While I agree that we need more Democrats, as well as better Democrats, bluntly stating that most Democrats after the election will be confined to "liberal gettoes" (the poster obviously can't spell ghettos) is disgusting.

          of a concern troll.

Though, I'm not sure whether to take it serious or not.
I mean, look at this exchange.

"You bet!", in response to that question?

Is that snark? I can't tell, because there's little recent activity... but all the recent activity is in that vein...
