    and am quite comfortable with no permit requirements, although I understand why folks might see them as a good idea.  The good idea tends to go bad when "they" use a permitting process to hinder those seeking it.  Expensive fees, lengthy arbitrary 'checks', limited place and time to 'apply': stuff like that is simply no good.  Imagine applying rules like that to the ability to exercise free speech!

    We just changed our concealed carry laws.  Used to be you needed a permit, now you don't.

    I kinda do wish we had firearm basics taught in our high schools.  We do have certified instructors for your Concealed Carry permit (lets me carry in places that serve booze as long as I don't use booze, gives me an instant pass on my background check), so it isn't like an adult seeking some training can't get it, but I do wish our Top Ten amendments were covered in the final year of high school.
