  •  Here in Arizona, I had a firearm stolen (7+ / 0-)

due to these laws, last spring.

I stopped at a bar, on my way home from running errends, to converse with a friend for a few minutes.  I am a regular at this establishment, and they post "No Weapons/Firearms" signs, so, to honor their prefences, I left my sidearm "secured" in my vehicle during my visit.

While I was in, we got a heavy monsoon shower, and my 5 minute stop turned in to 45 minutes.  I drank a Coke and a water while conversing and waiting out the storm.  When I got back to my vehicle, someone had broken a window and stolen several items, including my firearm in its locked & cabled to the seat-frame case.

So in that instance, "No Firearms in bars" ended up being a net negative for society and my wallet.

Just anecdotal evidence, of course, but real nonetheless.
