was running the consumer division. She was shit all stupid. Basically she didn't see the Internet coming or being as huge as it would be, so Lucent (former equipment division of AT&T) which made all the PBXs that run our phone systems, should have been posed to make billions, yet Cisco ate their lunch.

So to catch up they just threw money at all these little start-ups during the dot.com time and when the house of cards fell, they were left holding the bag and the stock when from a high of around $175 into single digits.

And after all that, somehow she got the job at HP.

So the Lucent meltdown is kinda personal.

Lucent used to be "the shit." I mean they made the things that make communications work :).

That start out sweet and morph into nightmares. When I joined the company in the 1970s, it was known for Nobel Prizes. When I left in 2001 (along with thousands of others who were "offered" early retirement), it was known for perhaps the worst stock bust in U.S. History (my 401K busted with it). People who thought exactly like Fiorina - she did well with the corporate culture there - were to blame for that.

We must not allow this woman into Washington.
