    guide for your life and approach toward others.

    I think the commentator is talking about people who are essentially superstitious lunatics who use Jesus as a talisman in the hoo-doo BS.

    I don't think it should be offensive to a follower of the teachings. The people being criticized are those who use the name of Jesus to perpetuate the opposite of what He taught.

    Just my opinion.

      if it had been so qualified.  But it wasn't:  

      Does religion cause brain damage or is it just a symptom of brain damage? I mean, seriously, withcraft and burning "false idols" in 2010? Really?
      The more religious a person is the more untethered to reality they are.

      I agree with your interpretation, though.  I often wonder if some of the more extreme evangelicals are even reading the same Bible I do.
