    This makes me shudder --

    If society must pay the cost then the state has a say in the matter and must protect the needs of the many over the few or the one.

    because it infers the state should enforce abortion if a fetus has disabling problems. That statement has so many problems attached to it that I barely know where to begin.

      It should be up to the individual but the culture could be approving of "intervention" should a person choose to terminate.
