    with respect to the utter intransigence of the Republicans. I have to say I told you so . . . but if he'd hit the ground running with a fuck you and horse you rode in on attitude toward the Republicans, I truly believe he would have accomplished more of the progressive agenda . . . and actually forced the Republicans to respect his fortitude.

      he never really did compromise with republicans.  Most of the watering down of the bills often came because he had to compromise within the party, not with the GOP.

      as his excuse to pay back his corporate benefactors. Obama never intended to enact a progressive agenda. Why can't people get that?
