  •  But not FU Dems, for capitulating (0+ / 0-)

    again and again. And again?

They're assholes, sure. But our team seem to be hapless, naive losers. Neither side is actually interested in moving us forward.

To discuss Republican policies that hurt the less affluent and favor those that need no favors is class warfare.

    •  Its frustrating (0+ / 0-)

But Obama had to attempt to seek common ground.  It is a part of the rational process.

You live and you learn.  Now the GOP has spelled out its plan to be uncompromising in no uncertain terms.  The horse is out of the barn.  At the beginning of his presidency it wasn't as unknown.

If (and I know its a big if), but if the Dems manage to maintain a slim advantage Obama can then lean on the GOP pretty damn hard and throw this "no compromise" nonsense right in their collective faces daily.

Remember, the 'capitulation' you speak of came because of the Blue Dogs - namely Blanche Lincon and Joe Lieberman - who held up the process.

After this election Obama MUST use the bully pulpit.  If he presses the attack all will be forgotten.  This is the job he was elected to do - he has to be the people's champion of social justice.  Its going to take some serious hard work to get this ship fully tunred around.
