    we kidnapped a child, treated a child soldier/prisoner of war as a terrorist, we held him illegally, denied his civil and human rights, tortured him, and now he has confessed to a crime that he has not committed.

    He should have been released, he should have been offered restitution and rehabilitation to reintegrate him back into society. Instead, they threatened to put him on trial, subjected him to "legal" shenanigans that violated normal guarantees of the accused. Justice, certainly not, we are the war criminals in this case, we have violated the Geneva Convention repeatedly.

    In his place, I would have done anything to bring an end to the situation and that is what he has done ... this is another stain on America's international reputation and a continuation of the grossest type of injustice.

    No society can surely be flourishing and happy, of which the far greater part of the members are poor and miserable (Adam Smith, 1776, I, p. 96).
