  •  The White House was a target in 1973 (none)
    I learned this watching "The Plot to Kill Nixon" on the History Channel last week.  A mentally disturbed man in 1973 tried to hijack a plane from DC and fly it into the White House.  He killed the pilot and co-pilot before he was shot, so the plane never left the ground, and the public wasn't told of this guy's full plan.  

    Also, the White House was strengthened and fortified during WWII, because everyone feared the kamikaze pilots who flew their planes into targets.  

    There are two examples Condi should have known about, as the National Security Advisor, but didn't.
