  •  your right (6+ / 0-)

I remember, EVERYONE said we were not  going to take the senate, and we did, I think a lot of moderates, unemployed, black, latino, and young are going to vote D

    •  Why do you think unemployed people would be (0+ / 0-)

      inclined to vote Democratic?

I voted for Democrats in the last two elections when I was working.

Now I'm out of work and only have one local Democrat on my vote-for list.

Something about jobs never quite making it to the top of the priority list.

Just think of all the jobs that will be created when the min wage is $2.00 an hour?

There will be an 'Iron Rice Bowl' for all.

          it tastes like burning...

        •  No, I don't think that at all, but Democrats seem (0+ / 0-)

disinclined to help,so...I have to take a different tack.
Perhaps by voting against people who don't see my needs as being important, the next batch will be a little more mindful.

Republicans might, in fact, be a little more helpful if for no other reason than to grab the brass ring in 2012.

          •  didn't work in 2000 (0+ / 0-)

when Nader claimed it would. won't now. There won't be any resources left to create jobs or a safety net, and once again, whatever Democrats take over will be blamed.

so basically, dino, you're exactly the troll you've appeared to be?  well knock me over...

        •  You see no more cards. (0+ / 0-)

I don't add my ***Disclaimer*** as often as I used to, but it's pretty well known in these parts that, not only am I not a Democrat, I'm not a progressive, either.

As to being a troll, you must not understand the concept.

          •  well, your 1st para. indicates that I do (0+ / 0-)

understand it -- because without the Disclaimer, a reader's default assumption is that you are a democrat and a progressive if you're contributing to DK.  It seems I've managed to miss spinning up on your profile in my own 4+ years in these parts, so thanks for the clarification.

So: I'll withdraw the troll suggestion.  Now...I'm sure this was covered in dinotrac 101 back in the day, but what exactly ARE you doing here?

      •  How about because Republicans (2+ / 0-)

are flat-out saying that outsourcing jobs is fine, people collecting unemployment are merely lazy and don't want to work, and Social Security should be eliminated because you should be taking "personal responsibility" for saving your copious money for retirement? And that you don't deserve affordable health care? And that they are no answerable to you and won't even answer questions because their corporate masters are the only ones that matter? These GOP candidates are mocking you and insulting you and in Ohio, one is calling government workers "sloppy" and "lazy," never mind that HE sucked on the government teat all his life, until he got a job in the financial industry — with no background or experience — due to his powerful friends.

Jobs not only aren't on the Republicans' priority list — killing jobs if it will enhance profit at the top IS.

        Enjoy your suicide.

people who havn't been polled are going to inflict an 'October Surprise' in November on a whole pile of 'strategists', alleged 'pollsters', bloviating haircuts and Fauxvda.

There is a good chance that 03 nov is the day we get eat the cake we won.
