  •  What could have been done??? (none)
Hmmm, without taking away any civil rights??? Well, perhaps the pilots could have been told that any hijackings were more than likely suicide missions and to keep the cockpit doors CLOSED and to open them for no reason.  That does not violate any rights.

Perhaps the desk and flight attendants could have been told to look out for anyone who was acting in a nervous manner, and pay special attention to their behavior.  Does that violate any rights?? I dont' think so.

There were lots of things that could have been done to protect the cockpits from the terrorists.  Unfortunately, since Bush and co. did not tell anyone, or even hint that something might be up, we have almost 3000 dead Americans and a govt which has been eroding our civil rights, attacking a nation that had nothing to do with 9/11 and lying to us every step of the way.  Including hiding this report until after the election.

Welcome to the Republican-run United States of America.  And I voted for Bush in 2000.

Security could have been tightened up. I remember when we landed in HI in 2001, just months before the attacks, we were greeted by our sponser from the base. He and his wife were right there in the gate area. Of course, what they did after was just cosmetic. I don't feel that much safer now.
