the democrativc party. Now, do not tell them, their numbers,(albeit they have a loud microphone) are small!  GOTV!

everywhere in the country, even in the south. Unfortunately, they won't. There are people who are moderate Democrats and those people need representation too. I am frustrated with the Blue Dogs too but if we ran progressives against everyone of them, we would lose most of the races. See how well a progressive is doing here? And you can't blame Charlie Crist for that because even without him the progressive would not win. That makes me sad but I know its reality at the moment.

why would a dem-lite have more support then a dem ?
relative to republicans, they are both virtually identical...
wouldnt the 'rugged westerner' or the 'macho southerner' prefer a representative with some clear convictions (of the mental state, not the penal system)..
"if you also care about others, then you are a democrat. if you dont, you are a republican". isnt it that simple ?

the same thing to all people. You think progressive = Democrat. Why do you think that? Because Tea Party = Republican? Not sure all Republican's would agree with that. In Nebraska, a Democrat is very different than in California or in Illinois or in New York. Here in Florida, popular Democrats are moderates. In Georgia, they are conservatives. Of course, districts are more important for the house but it still stands. It all depends on the constituents. Like they say..its all local.

        Destined for realpolitik disappointment.
Do you think they know their gap is showing?

so don't worry about us because our numbers are small. After having being insulted by everyone from Obama down, my Green party vote for everyone shouldn't matter one iota to the less than pure folks.

By the way, does the dem party still have a platform?

this sorry excuse for a "campaign" and run it ourselves in 2012 with those Dems that wish to represent the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party. Sorry, but if 2010 is representative of the way OFA and the DNC wishes to run campaigns then why bother at all?? Becuz THEY surely didn't bother. I know I can't do any worse than these jackasses. And, I know there are at least 10,000 on here that feel the same way. Hire Dr. Dean, get back to his kick-ass 50 state strategy and start kicking some! Otherwise, there ain't no point working our asses off just to get them handed to us by the likes of Glenn Beck. Can I get an amen?! Of course not. Most on here are as clueless as the DNC and OFA. Well, cheer them on then! I won't.

not to diminish their responsibility, but we have to deal with a more "global system"...
if the economy was shaking and people were all happy and shopping, dems would have increased their majorities..

If we're fucking going to lose anyway - becuz of "reality" - then I'd rather go down proudly and loudly declaring where we stand. Instead, those Dems seeking re-election hid under their desks hoping no one would notice they were a Dem. Fuck that and fuck them. Lose standing up. Lose carrying the banner. The Repubs don't duck. They shout loud and proud exactly where they stand, carry that Teabagger banner proudly! Stand up! Carry the banner! Americans want something and somebody to vote FOR - not just against. The Repubs gave it to them. We hid under desks. Stand the fuck up! Carry the damn banner! Or resign your seat. We'll find someone to fill it.

              •  i wasnt suggesting that we lose because of (0+ / 0-)

reality, only that when it's "bad", who ever is "in" would be under electoral-duress..
i think our difference is in how fast and deep you want your reform implemented.
but the people we send to actually do it, dont know how to. instead of artists and scientists and other creative people, we primarily send lawyers to D.C ....
not to diminish the importance of the legal aspects of legislation, it should first be about solving problems. and congress is not flowing with the spirit of cooperation..  regardless, not voting or voting republican only makes things worse, and voting dem makes things better, gradually...
