  •  Really? This is the headline story... (0+ / 0-)

...five nights before Republicans win control of the House and take the Senate to an actual tie? Oy.

Six years ago dailyKos trumpeted the arrival of an orator scripted to say that the United States were "purple." Six years later we know that's all he had to offer.

Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices?
You've heard them calling your name.
Is this the sweet sound that called the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same.
You've heard it too many times to ignore it.
It's something that you're supposed to be.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Obama was the dailyKos big todo. Markos first big decision as a young father, and what a disastrously naive decision he made to support the ignorant foolish candidate from Chicago.

And when will Markos admit he made a mistake in endorsing Obama?

Long before Obama, a lot of us were here advising against supporting the Obama candidacy, but the Sesame Street sentiment won out. Since then, most of us were banned, and now, Obama is all we've got. But for a purple candidate, what a hateful, ignorant man Obama has turned out to be. And how quickly he's turned all of our work into nothing.

Obama has ruined us. dailyKos ensured it. What's next?

I'm not sure exactly who belongs to this ruined "us" you vaguely speak of, but based on your condescending and bitter post, I'm glad I'm not one of you. Who the hell are you and what are your great progressive accomplishments? Nevermind answering that: if you had built anything big, we would have heard of you.
But do answer me this: if everyone who supported Obama made a big mistake, who did you endorse? Hillary, Kucinich, or Richardson (all of whom would have lost to McCain)? Or maybe Dodd who couldn't even get reelected in his own state? Or maybe Edwards who would have imploded due to his adultery scandal? Who did you endorse (since you don't make mistakes)?

      •  Okay . . . no need to answer (2+ / 0-)

I've just read your old posts and found that you had said a couple of nice things about Kucinich and Dodd. You also praised Gravel (that was before he became a Libertarian). And you were one of Hillary's PUMA's for a while (guess the Balkan sniper-fire fiasco didn't trouble you). But before that, you were an Edwards cheerleader. Boy, I sure wish we had listened to you since we're all so naive. Sheesh. You trashed Obama and supported not one but two candidates who would have lost to McCain. And you say Markos needs to admit he made a naive mistake in endorsing Obama? Here's some naivete from one of your own posts:

... I'm still with the most honest of them: Edwards. Hard to choose and I'll support whoever wins, I still pick Edwards.
