  •  Sounds like he marched the entire Natchez Trail (12+ / 0-)

and then some (to Nashville from eastern KY, then from Natchez to NO).

Wow, impressive. I've merely driven most of it. We often lose sight of just how much the founding generations did and sacrificed so that we could whine about 36% vs. 39% tax rates and how unfair it is to make rich people pay their fair share.

On absolutely EVERY level but one (that banks and corporations have too much unchecked power), teabaggers get EVERYTHING wrong.

    •  And being unwitting ... (6+ / 0-)

... accomplices of increasing the power of banks and corporations all the while decrying it kind of negates that one level that they get right.

      •  No kidding (6+ / 0-)

"Down with regulation!" kind of undermines "Down with crooked banks!".

These people are unhinged and petulant morons. Or, I should say, morans.

        •  I once read a SF story ... (0+ / 0-)

... set in the far far future with a tribe of humans living on the run from the machines, relying heavily on an electronically enhanced "sensorium" for their survival  ... and a machine taking a special interest in humans stalking them by selective interference with their sensorium.

Its a lot like that: the world that you know about if you watch Fox News is a world that is professionally designed to push the buttons of particular types of people in our society, so its no surprise that those groups prone to a populist message are getting fed a false picture of a phony world in which their populist inclinations lead to actions supporting the rich and powerful.
