Will stomach this.  Indies definitely won't.  Unless the GOP are willing to screw up their slightly larger number of House seats so soon after the election they won't do this.  Perhaps they're stupid enough to try closer to the 2012 elections but by then it'll just be viewed as political theatre... which it is.

The most dangerous... programs, from a movement conservative's point of view, are the ones that work the best and thereby legitimize the welfare state. Krugman

Would it piss indys off yes. Would repubs do it anyway, also a yes.

    •  Republican politicians (7+ / 0-)

...are not the same as Republicans.  Republican politicians will start as soon as they are seated to give it the cache of not being political theater, and they will continue it until January 2017 if Obama gets elected.  And the corporate media will cheerlead.

Republicans are ruthless in their desire to see the black President fail and fail big because that is what a significant part of their base wants to have happen -- even if they go without jobs, healthcare, Social Security, and prosperity.

They are that stupid, and they are that serious.  They see the destruction of Obama as the entry to the permanent Republican majority that Bush screwed up.

It they will stomp on people's heads, they will subpoena children.

disciple stomped on the Move-on girl.  These people are the same people who enjoyed a good lynching....

Don't discount anything they might do.  I don't know how the public put up with them in the 90's, now I don't think there is any limit to what they might try.

I don't think that this is too low for him. Not even close.
