  •  Yes, I will also be setting out for a (5+ / 0-)

long day of canvassing in a few hours.

I won't be able to join you at Blogistan Polytechnic Institute until I am done canvassing this evening.

See you there for some warm and fuzzy!

I blog on healthcare issues for Tikkun Daily as Lauren Reichelt.

but I froze my butt off this morning outside a Cleveland Heights poll passing out literature for Mary Jane Trapp (and talking up Eric Brown as well). This is an almost all Democratic area and we mostly need to get them to vote down the ticket to the judges and also to know who the Democrats are since they aren't marked on the ballot. I would tell them that if Mary Jane and Eric aren't elected, the court reverts to 100 percent corporate-owned Republican. There wasn't much happening at 6:30 but by 7:30 the place was hopping. I hope that's indicative of the turnout in other black inner-ring suburban areas. I canvassed in Maple Heights Sunday, similar area, and everybody — even people we stopped on the street to ask directions — was chomping at the bit to vote. We stopped by a group of young black men in their 20s – not a high voting demographic — to ask directions and asked if they were voting, and they were all going "You bet — Democrats all the way!" Hope that's a good sign. These races are SOOO tight (well, except for Lee Fisher. He is going down, and it's his own fault. He started doing stuff two weeks ago he should have been doing last June).
