    CNN and everyone says Jeff Gannon quit because of threats to his family?

    No. CNN and "everybody" says that Jeff Gannon says that he quit because of threats to his family. While that's theoretically possible, it's also the most likely thing he'd say anyway. It's not like he's going to say, "I'm quitting because people have found out that I'm a ringer brought in to make the Administration look good."

    Now if the threats didnt come from the progressive community, you have to say so now ...

    That would just reinforce his framing. The best bet is to ignore his charges unless he comes up with some evidence. Preferably evidence that isn't easily faked. I could easily whip up a few supposed emails from the Trilateral Commission, threatening to bugger my dog. Big deal; I don't even have a dog. (Which prompts the next question: Does Gannon actually have a family?)
