    though I wouldn't argue that it's a lake that is great. :-D

I'm not a fan of prairies or huge fields. I'm a fan of small towns. I went to Milwaukee to visit my sister and it creeped me right the fuck out. Way too many people, not enough space and, being on a motorcycle, way too many fuckheaded drivers.

Biggest city I'd like to live in would be 20k. Max.

People tend to be a bit more sane with their driving in Vermont than a lot of places I've been, although there are fuckheaded drivers here.  Quite often the vehicle will have flatlander plates (like Massachusetts or New York), but not always.  Also probably depends on whether or not you are on a back road, in a small village, or in Burlington.

We have the smallest largest city of any US state (Burlington, 38,897 estimated as of 2008), and the smallest capitol (Montpelier, 7,760 est. as of 2008).  I think only Burlington is over 20,000.  Essex might be pushing up on 19,000, but it's right next to Burlington.

No prairies here, and there are fields, but not on the scale of much of the rest of the US.

I'd heard that Michigan has lost most of its ash trees due to the Emerald Ash Borer.  We don't have the EAB here yet.  Hopefully it won't get here.
