take some responsibility for your own inadequate and unhelpful equivocation.

good legislation was passed.  some even signed into law.

the rest stuck in the senate.

one more thing -- pelosi is not obama and she is not harry reid.

she lifted, a lot, and yet she is the one who loses because of senate inactivity and presidential efforts towards bipartisanship.

if the best you can do is say "i hear" they passed good legislation, then the best you can do isn't good enough for a reaity-based conversation.

Nor am I excusing Democrats for their fuckups either.

I don't want to pile on.  But, how and when do we take stock of our fuckups?

I know the GOP is ruining this country and independents vote like spoiled brats and the media slanders Democrats.  But, you can't let that get in the way of progress and you don't progress without taking stock of your own actions.  So, when are we going to learn of our fuckups if every time we look under our dirty rug it's equated with GOP propaganda?

And I intend to keep making the point that we did this to ourselves by failing to do fulfill our Consitutional duty to the Law and to the People.

Part of the job of Congress is to legislate, and Speaker Pelosi did that. But another part is to oversee the Executive Branch, and THAT she did NOT do.

What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.

        •  you just told me (0+ / 0-)

it was her job to educate the independent voter.

          so which is it?

iirc, congress, not the spesker, is the subject to that verb...

      •  your initial comment was absurd and condescending (0+ / 0-)

for someone who is on a blog that values evidence and reality.

you "hear?"  where have you been if that is your excuse for either staying uninformed about the achievements the last two years or for just not bothering to understand the context/importance of any of the achievements of the last two years?

you want to talk about fuckups?

check your own stuff first before you go off on a bloviation about "propaganda" and "responsibility."

        •  The reality is most of us do not................. (0+ / 0-)

read legislation.  We hear about things.  We hear that provisions of the new health insurance reform law do not kick in until 2014, for instance.

We hear that unemployment is ~9.6%.  But, we know we are working less and getting out paced by our expenses.

We hear about change and see little of it.  That is reality.

I wonder if a person new to politics and dailykos would stick around after you gave them the attitude you just expressed.  They might despite you.

so do me a favor and stop with the hectoring, irrelevant and bloviating comments to me.

when you have a relevant point, then i'll respond.
