    This section of the electorate is bound to be mighty disappointed with the House 'publicans if they don't come through with spending for job creation.  Obama needs to have a jobs program in his budget.  If it doesn't make it through Congress, he can blame the 'publicans for opposing it.

    Of course, this assumes the same composition of the electorate next time.  If we have the same composition of the electorate next time as this time, we're screwed.  The GOTV among younger voters obviously wasn't as effective for this election as in 2008.

      to order a jobs program, because such things have been done by past presidents, to get around the opposition;

      maybe they can be done "better" through congressional action, but there's no time left between now and 2012, to be afraid to exercise whatever it takes to get people working;

      the repubs are dedicated to keeping things bad, until they get back in power, and by then americans will have become have-nots, who will be everyone but the top 1%;

      the admin must give the repubs only the shortest time to get on board, and after that leave them sputtering, threatening, fuming, while the unemployed husbands, wives, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters go back to work

      and to hell with "the deficit", a bogeyman if there ever was one
