    ignorant.  They vote on knee-jerk reflexive reactions to propaganda they've been exposed to and/or to a sense of whether they like a candidate personally.  These are the people the mindless political ads are created for.  They are scared and many are jobless. They don't understand how things work or what is happening, they don't have even an inkling of the political process.  All they know is they are having hard times and the Democrats are in control.  Must be time to vote Republican.  That's it.  They don't know anything else.   If a question says something about "create jobs," they'll answer "yes."  If a political ad says that a candidate wants to "create jobs" and that ad strikes the right emotional chord with them, they'll vote for that person.  The fact that the question is about creating jobs through federal spending while the candidate's ad was about creating jobs through further regulation and corporate tax cuts is something they neither understand nor care about.
