in two years, but sadly the district leans Republican and unless she really lets her freak flag fly she'll probably get another term.

    •  My GOP college friend is crazy about her (0+ / 0-)

He lives in NYC and was telling me about her resume - something her having degrees - I wasn't paying attention - but she used her resume to her advantage on the trail.  I think think she will be a hard out.  Now others will be much easier.

When we got into office, the thing that surprised me most was to find that things were just as bad as we'd been saying they were. -JFK

How did Democrats do in the NY legislature election?  Can they and Cuomo draw a district more favorable for a John Hall comeback?

to reform the redistricting procedure. Make it non-partisan and independent which is a good thing to my mind. Perhaps an inopportune moment for it, but in general a good thing.

      •  I don't want a John Hall comeback (0+ / 0-)

There were two better candidates in the primary when the seat opened up in 2006. He was never that great as a congressman - he spent the whole health care debate waffling. He did work hard on veterans' issues, but that was about it.

        More, better, younger Democrats!
