  •  Glad to hear some good news! :) (7+ / 0-)

You are so talented in so many ways, Yasu, whatever you do next work-wise will be outstanding as with all you do. It's got to be hard pulling back on the reins and taking baby steps as you get stronger, but it will be worth it in the end. Set-backs from overdoing are no fun.

Work is where the difficulties are for many of my colleagues. I never thought it could happen where I am, but it is and it's insidious.

I've been coming home and playing the piano which isn't my primary instrument, but it's proven quite therapeutic. Bach's Prelude in C made me cry the other day. It's so simple and yet so powerful. Same with Gershwin's 2nd Prelude.

Today I plan to set up the music/computer room better so there's easier access to instruments and art supplies for venting at critical-mass moments. It's curious how strife spurs expression.

I've sent an email to register for the forum and will do my best to report back in a reasonably cogent manner.

Thanks for all you do, Yasuragi!

    •  Very much appreciated, CM. (6+ / 0-)

And you're so right about strife spurring expression.  Some of the world's best art(s) are born out of strife.

I'm glad you're using that outlet.  Much better than turning the tension against yourself -- a habit I'm trying to learn to break.

      •  You're right Yasu - (5+ / 0-)

I have written some poetry this week. I can never seem to write when things are going well. I have to be either enraged or totally depressed. That's the only thing I can think of that adversity is good for - get you off your butt to effect change...

However, this past week (month; year?) has been so much teh sukz, that we should have been able to change the rotation of the earth for all the adversity...
