    •  Depends on a number of questions (0+ / 0-)
      1. Did the officer make a mistake as he claimed or did he intend to shoot his gun?
      1. Would it have been lawful for the officer to shoot his Taser as he claims he intended?
      1. How reasonable is it for a police officer in the circumstances of the incident to accidentally shoot the wrong weapon?
      1. Was the officer under the influence of any illegal drugs or of any legal drugs that he should have known made it unsafe for him to be on the streets possibly using deadly weapons.

As far as I know, the only one of those questions we have a definitive answer to is #4 and the answer to that is "No".

You want to keep defending a criminal who shot an unarmed, restrained black man in the back while he was face-down, by making a "mistake" that's impossible to make - well, go ahead.  Defend the criminal.

That video is abundantly clear to anyone with eyes open to see it.  So is the evidence.  This was another example of white cops and a justice system deciding that a black man's life was worth nothing.  And that's criminal.  Both legally and morally.

You claimed in another comment that you are a lawyer. (http://www.dailykos.com/...)

A lawyer is capable of analyzing fact patterns, identifying the relevant legal questions, and then calmly discussing them instead of relying on ad hominem attacks.

I don't believe for a minute that you are really a lawyer.

          •  So, what? (0+ / 0-)

You're accusing me of not being a lawyer?  You're a riot.

Let's be clear:  I am a lawyer, and frankly, I'm a damn good one.  But I didn't check my brain, my morals, my ethics, or my ability to think about things outside of the white legal system box at the law school door.

Spend some time in the company of us real lawyers, who have done real justice work, and you might - might - learn a thing or two.  Doubtful, though, since you're here to push your agenda.  Oh, yes, your behavior in other comment threads makes that agenda clear.  Of course, I have my own ideas, considering your choice of UID.

But let's also be clear:  You will not imply that I am not a lawyer, or anything else that's false, without being called on it.

Now goodbye.  You've trolled way too much of Dee's diary and taken up way too much valuable time, and it's not remotely worth it.
