    Second of all, they didn't decline to charge him, they simply offered him a plea bargain that would avoid the felony charge.

      at the offer to escape a felony charge. Who wouldn't? He obviously knew he was guilty. That offer indicates there was never any serious intention to charge him with a felony.

        Why would a DA and a judge let a hedge fund manager off for such a heinous act, particularly in this climate of bankster hate?  I'm not totally buying into the outrage, as I think some big puzzle pieces are missing from the reports.
